Steel coil slitting converts wide master coils into narrower strips according to the buyer’s production or distribution requirements. Before processing, the material type, thickness, master coil width, finished strip width, cutting layout, tolerance, edge requirements, finished coil weight, and packing method are reviewed as one complete specification.The service is applicable to PPGI, PPGL, galvanized steel, galvalume steel, cold rolled steel, and hot rolled steel. Material properties including coating, surface condition, hardness, and intended use are considered when confirming the slitting plan.Material supply and slitting can be arranged in the same order, allowing finished coils to arrive prepared for roofing production, roll forming, pipe manufacturing, component processing, or distribution.

Five-Layer Protection for Steel Coil Shipments

Each steel coil is packed through a five-step protection process to reduce moisture exposure, edge damage, surface scratches, and movement during handling and international transportation.

  • Paper Edge Protection

    Paper edge protectors are applied around both sides of the coil to cushion the edges and reduce direct contact during the subsequent wrapping process.

  • Kraft Paper & Plastic Film Wrapping

    The coil is wrapped with kraft paper and plastic film to help protect the steel surface from moisture, dust, and contamination during storage and transportation.

  • Steel Sheet Outer Wrapping

    An external steel sheet layer is wrapped around the coil body to provide additional protection against impact, scratches, and mechanical damage during handling.

  • Side Plates & Steel Edge Protectors

    Steel side plates and reinforced edge protectors are installed on both ends of the coil to protect the coil faces, inner edges, and outer edges from deformation and impact.

  • Steel Strapping & Secure Fastening

    Steel straps and fastening seals are applied around the completed package to hold all protective layers firmly in place during lifting, loading, and transportation.
